Absolut Vodka~Rock Edition

In the congested spirit industry, companies are trying to get as creative as possible and grab much needed market cap. This year we have seen brands like Belvedere Vodka and Hennessy Cognac invite artist to remix their bottling in an attempt to attract a different audience. The latest spirit company to enter this competition isAbsolut Vodka, with their Rock Edition bottle. The ABSOLUT VODKA ROCK EDITION is indeed a tribute to rock and roll, but it was not launched to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock. They celebrate rock and roll with their limited edition bottle, and also by bringing together visionary rock and roll photographer Danny Clinch and the sought-after rock band Wolfmother in a creative collaboration that invites the consumer to take part in the authentic rock and roll lifestyle. With the leather and studs gift pack, Wolfmother’s music and Danny Clinch’s photographs they want to create an ABSOLUT world of rock and roll.

Interesting point about the marketing of vodka and other drinks. We produced an independent movie, Vodka Rocks!, in which the main character markets Russian vodka. It's a satirical comedy, anyone who says .Absolute... gets killed. Extreme marketing!
